Capturing Their Forever Photos

Find clear answers here to your most common questions about our dog photography sessions.

What should I bring for my dog’s woodland photo session?

Bring your dog’s favorite treats, ball or toys to keep them happy and engaged during the shoot. I never bring treats to avoid accidentally making them ill.

How long does a typical photo session last?

Sessions usually last around 60 minutes, allowing for natural and relaxed shots, But if your dog is old or infirm, we can work around them.

Are the photo sessions dog-friendly and stress-free?

Absolutely! I prioritise your dog. Sometimes when they won’t sit still, that fur-missile running around IS the portrait!

Can I order prints and digital images after the session?

Yes, we offer a personalised online gallery where you can select prints and digital files.

Where do the photo sessions take place?

It changes depending on the season, but I photograph where I walk my own dogs in Farnborough. This allows me to know stay on top of when the heather is blooming, or the autumn leaves particulary beautiful. It also allows me to stay on top of any forest work or temporary hazards. Safety ALWAYS comes first. If your dog is old or infirm, I try to keep track of a couple of locations very close to where you can park your car to make it easier for them.

How far in advance should I book a session?

A couple of weeks is great, but if the weather forecast looks great for the following day you can always try the evening before. At short notice, text messages are usually best as I may not get to emails through the booking form immeditely.

What about the weather?

I hear you, believe me! I can work in the sun, when its cloudy, even the snow can be incredible, but there is something about the rain! A light shower is OK, adds a sense of authenticity even, but its best to reschedule if there is heavy rain. Its often a good idea to reschedule if there was heavy rain prior to the session too as the dogs will be running in out of the undergrowth and can end up looking like drowned rats, which is fine, but only IF thats the look you are going for!

How much do you charge?

Session fee from £50. Please see Bookings page for more details
